Learning Food Photography, Skill Before Creativity

In the past three years I have had five food photography workshops. Working with amateurs and budding professionals it has been a fun and rewarding process to help other photographers pre-visualize their lighting. Food photography transfers to light most anything else no matter the scale. In my class we focus on highlights, reflection, texture, gradients, shadow detail, depth and composition.
